Marion Man Charged with Forcible Rape of Employee at Workplace

Maximiliano Queriapa Guardian, 53, of Marion, faces felony charges after allegedly raping an employee at their workplace. The McDowell County Sheriff's Office investigation led to his arrest and detention.

MARION – A Marion man is behind bars following an investigation into a sexual assault allegation involving a workplace supervisor.

On March 18, the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office said it met with a local woman regarding a sexual assault. The victim reported that she had been sexually assaulted by her boss while at work earlier that day, according to police. Following the initial report, Deputy Hernandez advised the victim to undergo a medical evaluation.

Investigation and Arrest

The subsequent investigation confirmed that the suspect, identified as 53-year-old Maximiliano Queriapa Guardian of Marion, had forcibly raped his employee.

Guardian was charged with Felony Second Degree Forcible Rape. Following his arrest, Guardian was transported to the McDowell County Detention Center for processing. He was initially denied bond.

Suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
