Macon County -- News Release Macon County Sheriff's Office June 18, 2026: On June 15, 2026, Detectives with the Macon County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, along with Deputies assigned to the Criminal Interdiction Unit, were conducting proactive drug enforcement operations in the northern portion of Macon County.
During the operation, investigators conducted surveillance on a vehicle occupied by Madeleine Marie Taylor, 35, of Franklin. During the course of the investigation, detectives observed activity consistent with suspected illegal drug activity, which led to further investigative action.
As a result of the investigation, a search was conducted and a quantity of suspected fentanyl was located and seized.
Taylor was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Fentanyl (PWIMSD Fentanyl), Maintaining a Vehicle for the Use or Sale of Controlled Substances, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
