Macon County -- May 27, 2026: News Release Macon County Sheriff's Office:
Jonathan David Hunter has been sentenced to a minimum of 225 months (18.75 years) in prison following a narcotics investigation conducted by the Macon County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Franklin Police Department.
On September 9, 2024, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Macon County. During the search, law enforcement recovered approximately 1.4 kilograms of methamphetamine along with two firearms.
Hunter was convicted of:

• Trafficking Methamphetamine Level III
• Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
In addition to the prison sentence, Hunter was ordered to pay a $250,000 fine.
