Macon County Sheriff's Office News Release June 5, 2026: Deputies with the Macon County Sheriff's Office Criminal Interdiction Unit were patrolling US 64 West when they observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. Following a traffic stop, deputies conducted a search that resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics.
As a result of the investigation, Zackary Ryan Rich was arrested and charged with:
• Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver a Schedule IV Controlled Substance
• Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance
• Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Fentanyl
• Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling Place for a Controlled Substance
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Carrying a Concealed Weapon
• Altering/Removing a Firearm Serial Number
Rich was issued a secured bond of $75,00
