Huey Magoo’s, the fast-casual chicken tender chain, is officially celebrating its new location in Weaverville, North Carolina. While the restaurant held a soft opening in late 2025, the upcoming festivities mark its formal welcome to the community, highlighting the economic growth and job opportunities the 85th nationwide location brings to the Asheville area.
Located at 61 Weaver Blvd., Suite 109A, the 2,500-square-foot restaurant operates daily from 11 a.m. to midnight. Guests can enjoy dine-in, outdoor seating, and takeout, with online ordering available via the Huey Magoo’s app and DoorDash.
Grand Opening Celebration
The official grand opening event is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The celebration includes several high-value promotions:
BOGO Deal: From Thursday, March 26, through Saturday, March 28, guests can grab a buy-one-get-one 5-piece meal (including a drink).
Giveaways: The first 100 adults and 100 children in line on March 28 will receive limited-edition grand opening hats.
Free Chicken for a Year: All guests visiting between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, will be automatically entered into a contest to win free chicken for a year. No purchase is necessary to enter.
Menu and Expansion
The Weaverville menu features the chain's signature "Filet Mignon of Chicken" tenders, available in meals, sandwiches, salads, and wraps. Recent additions include the Grilled Tender Bites and house-made sides like hand-spun chips and banana pudding. Customers can also earn points through the newly launched Magoo’s Rewards loyalty program.
Owned and operated by local franchisees RJ and Lori Murray, this opening is a key piece of Huey Magoo's aggressive North Carolina expansion. Under the leadership of CEO Andy Howard, the company is on track to hit its 100th store milestone later this year.
