Bruce Jones, 39, was arrested on February 17 and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury and trespassing. The Hendersonville Police Department responded to the incident around 7:27 p.m. at 350 Chadwick Avenue, the location of Love and Respect Community for Recovery & Wellness.

The male victim sustained lacerations to his torso and neck. Emergency medical services transported him to Mission Hospital. He remains in stable condition after undergoing emergency surgery.

Jones is described as a homeless man with a lengthy record of violent crime. He was arrested at the scene and is being held in jail without bond. Detectives are investigating the motive for the assault, though authorities believe it to be an isolated incident.
