Henderson County -- September 10, 2026: Two individuals, Woodrow Massey, 39, and Edwrie Taylor Jr., 65, were arrested Monday inside a Duke Energy facility on Pot Shoals Road in Saluda, North Carolina, according to Henderson County Sheriff's Office warrants. Deputies accused the pair of breaking into the building, damaging security equipment, and possessing tools consistent with forced entry.
Allegations detailed in the warrants include damage to locks on trail cameras and lock boxes, as well as the removal of part of a SIM card from Duke Energy security equipment. Authorities also reported finding a grinder and bolt cutters at the scene.
Massey faces multiple charges, including possession of burglary tools, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, possession of stolen goods or property, first-degree trespassing, and injury to personal property. These charges stem directly from the alleged actions within the Duke Energy facility and the items found by deputies.
Taylor Jr. faces a broader range of allegations. His reported charges include possession of methamphetamine, possession of a stolen motor vehicle—specifically a Toyota RAV4 reported stolen out of Greenville—possession of burglary tools, and driving while license revoked for a reason other than impaired driving.
