Henderson County -- Press Release Henderson County Sheriff's Office: On Friday, March 20, 2026, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Animal Enforcement responded to a call in reference to a contained stray dog. Upon arrival, Animal Enforcement officers took custody of the dog and immediately transported it to a local animal hospital for treatment due to its condition.
During the course of the investigation, Animal Enforcement officers identified Keith Wesley Greene, 33, of Hendersonville as the owner of the dog. As a result, Greene was arrested and charged with Animal Cruelty.
Animal Enforcement investigates all allegations of animal cruelty thoroughly and seeks justice for mistreated animals when violations of law are found.
Sheriff Griffin extends his appreciation to the Animal Enforcement team and all those involved in ensuring the safety and well being of animals in Henderson County.
No additional information will be released at this time. In a court of law, all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
