Asheville -- August 7, 2026: Motorists traveling through West Asheville should prepare for nighttime construction beginning Sunday, Aug. 9, as crews begin resurfacing approximately two miles of Haywood Road.
Asheville -- August 7, 2026: Motorists traveling through West Asheville should prepare for nighttime construction beginning Sunday, Aug. 9, as crews begin resurfacing approximately two miles of Haywood Road.The work will extend from Patton Avenue to Ridgelawn Road and is part of a roughly $7 million North Carolina Department of Transportation project designed to improve the heavily traveled corridor for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists.Construction crews are scheduled to work from 8 p.m.
