Waynesville -- Haywood County Government: The Haywood County Public Library will experience temporary parking changes at its Waynesville branch as paving improvements get underway.
Beginning Monday, April 27, 2026, the library’s parking lot and circle drive will be repaved with new asphalt. In addition, concrete near both entrances will be replaced as part of the project.
The Waynesville branch will remain open to the public during this time, and visitors are welcome to access the building by foot. However, parking at the library will not be available during construction. Library visitors are encouraged to park at First United Methodist Church and walk to the library.
For safety, you should use caution when entering and exiting the building, as surfaces around the library may be uneven during construction.
The project is expected to take approximately 7–8 days to complete, weather permitting.
We appreciate the public’s patience as these improvements are made to enhance the Waynesville Branch of the Haywood County Public Library.
