Haywood County Health & Human Services Launches Angel Tree for Adults in County's Care
The holiday season is a time of giving, and Haywood County Health & Human Services Agency invites the community to help make the season brighter for adults in the county’s care.
An Angel Tree is now on display at the Waynesville Walmart, located at 135 Town Center Loop, offering an opportunity to spread kindness and joy to those who may otherwise be forgotten during the holidays.
To participate, simply take a name from the Angel Tree and purchase the items listed for that individual.
Please wrap all gifts and return them either to Haywood Health & Human Services at 157 Paragon Parkway in Clyde or to the Waynesville Walmart Customer Service Department at 135 Town Center Loop — both no later than Friday, December 5th. HHSA is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The adults served through this program are individuals who are under the guardianship of Haywood County due to age, illness, disability, or other factors. Many live in group homes or long-term care facilities. For them, the Angel Tree gifts often represent the only presents they receive all year and a heartfelt reminder that their community cares.
Participants are asked to purchase all items on the wish list for the person they select, ensuring that each recipient receives a complete gift.
