Haywood County families with children who will be 4 years old by August 31, 2026, can now apply for the 2026-27 North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten program. The application deadline is May 1, 2026.
Application Process
Parents interested in enrolling their child in the Pre-K program can request an application via an online form on the Haywood County Schools website. According to Haywood County Schools, completing the request form is not part of the application process and will not impact student qualification. Once the request form is submitted, the application will be sent via email.
Completed applications should be submitted to the Haywood County Schools Central Office. Questions about the application process can be directed to the Central Office at 828-456-2400.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the 2026-27 Pre-K program, children must be 4 years old on or before August 31, 2026.
