Asheville -- August 26, 2026: The N.C. Mountain State Fair is set to return to the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher from Sept. 11-20, 2026, promising new thrills for families and fairgoers in the Greater Asheville Area. This year's event will debut four brand-new rides, offering fresh attractions as part of a broader update to the fair experience.
The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, along with midway provider Drew Exposition, is bringing these new attractions to the fair. The expanded ride lineup is designed to refresh the fair's entertainment and add new options for attendees of all ages.
Among the new additions is The Dairy, a spinning ride featuring flying cow cars. This attraction is expected to provide a whimsical and dynamic experience for riders.
For those seeking a spooky adventure, the Horror Hotel will debut as a walk-through spooky house. This attraction offers a different kind of thrill, inviting fairgoers to explore its eerie corridors.
Another new ride, The Aeromax, will lift riders in brightly colored airplanes approximately 40 feet into the air for a high-altitude spin. This ride is anticipated to offer panoramic views and an exhilarating aerial experience.
Families with younger children can look forward to Crazy Cars, a ride specifically designed with kids in mind. This addition aims to ensure there are new and exciting options for the fair's youngest visitors.
