Fairview VFD officials are issuing an urgent plea to the public: Please stay off of Lower Brush Creek Road unless you live or work in the area.
"We have had numerous vehicles coming down Lower Brush Creek Road just looking at the fire and has been hindering fire apparatus from traveling on this road," the VFD stated in its alert.
Interference from non-essential vehicles is significantly delaying the movement of fire trucks and UTVs, which is critical for fighting the blaze and protecting properties. The public is asked to respect the restricted access to ensure the safety of emergency personnel and the effectiveness of the fire suppression efforts.
