The Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains is launching the Pawrade of Homes, a workforce development initiative, at the WNC Build & Remodel Expo. The program involves high school students from Buncombe and Henderson counties displaying their doghouse-building skills, with the aim of raising awareness for the trades and supporting local education.
The Pawrade of Homes will be part of the WNC Build & Remodel Expo, held at the WNC Agricultural Center's Davis Event Center in Fletcher, North Carolina. The expo is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Program Details
The initiative showcases student-built doghouses, highlighting construction skills and craftsmanship. The program intends to raise awareness for the trades and support local high school construction programs.

A Pawrade of Homes Showcase Sponsor package is available for businesses. Sponsorship includes branding at the Dog House Showcase display area, logo placement on signage accompanying each student-built project, recognition in workforce development promotions, and an opportunity to participate in judging, awards, or photo opportunities.
