Asheville -- September 11, 2026: A convicted felon is facing a multiple of serious charges following an arrest in west Asheville. LaDarrell Antwain Mashburn was taken into custody after a vehicle crash, with authorities subsequently discovering a firearm and a significant quantity of narcotics. who are found in possession of weapons and illicit substances.
According to reports, Mashburn's arrest stemmed from a vehicle incident in west Asheville.in the 200 block of Emma Road around 7:36 p.m.on September 10th.
When officers arrived, they located a vehicle with front-end damage. The driver told officers another vehicle swerved into his lane, causing the crash, and that the other driver fled on foot. Officers located the second vehicle and spoke with the passenger, later identified as LaDarrell Antwain Mashburn (09/02/1979). During the investigation, officers determined that Tania Lashae Conley (10/30/1996) had been driving the vehicle and fled on foot after the crash.n..
Mashburn is currently being held as he awaits further legal proceedings.
