A Burke County man was arrested Saturday on multiple felony charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor, prompting an ongoing investigation by local law enforcement. The case highlights the potential legal penalties for such offenses under North Carolina law.
Corbin Lane McAdams of Morganton was arrested on 10 felony counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The arrest followed a multi-agency investigation into child sexual abuse material that began in December 2025 when Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigators identified online activity involving the exploitation of minors.
The Burke County Sheriff's Office coordinated the investigation with the Morganton Department of Public Safety and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. Authorities executed a search warrant at McAdams' residence on Hogan Street in Morganton on Februar*Suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
