With the help of other agencies, the Sheriff's Office planned a search of the neighborhood that continued well into the night. Deputies were given a guided patrol in the region after they were unable to investigate the heavily forested terrain any further.
This morning, members of the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, Skyland Fire Department, Buncombe County Emergency Services, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation resumed the search. Unfortunately, after several hours of searching, deputies located the body of Sundari Anders-Hoepgen.
The search was picked up again Tuesday morning by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Buncombe County Sheriff's Office, Skyland Fire Department, and Buncombe County Emergency Services. Regretfully, deputies found Sundari Anders-Hoepgen's body after several hours of searching.
