Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC) is opening registration for its 2026 Summer Academy camps, investing in the future workforce of Western North Carolina (WNC) by providing early exposure to STEM education and various career pathways.
Registration for the 2026 Summer Academy opens March 2, 2026, and will continue until May 15, 2026. The camps are designed for elementary, middle, and high school students. Due to limited space, early registration is advised.
What the Camps Offer
The Summer Academy includes eight hands-on programs designed to introduce students to potential career paths. These affordable programs, with fees ranging from $20 to $100, aim to foster skills, confidence, and curiosity in a safe environment. Scholarships are available.
The 2026 camp offerings include:
ArcStrong: Design. Fabricate. Weld. (at Brevard High School and Blue Ridge Community College Henderson County Campus)
Automotive Refinishing Technology (ART)
Amazing Race for Future Healthcare Heroes (at Hendersonville’s Health Sciences Center)
C.A.R.: Cool. Automotive. Repair. (at Henderson and Transylvania County Campuses)
Hair Art and Design: Creative. World of Beauty
Metal Makers Academy: Dream it. Machine it.
Young Builders Camp: Inspiring young minds. Crafting young dreams.
Young Engineers Experience (YEE): Solve. Explore. Experience. (at Henderson and Transylvania County Campuses)
Most camps will take place at BRCC’s Henderson County Campus in Flat Rock, NC, with some sessions at the Transylvania County Campus in Brevard, NC, or other local sites, according to BRCC.

The Summer Academy camps differ from BRCC's curriculum course registration, which is scheduled from February 23 to May 7, 2026.
