Blue Ridge Parkway -- May 22, 2026: National Forestry Service: Today is the official kickoff of the 2026 visitor season! All campgrounds, visitor centers, and picnic areas that are operating in 2026 are OPEN and welcoming visitors!
There is plenty to see and do on the Parkway this season. Here are some ideas:

Watch a sunrise or sunset!
Explore the park's neighboring communities!
Book a campsite and spend a night under the stars!
Visit the Blue Ridge Music Center and listen to the music of the region!
Check the park's calendar of events for ranger programs and cultural demonstrations!
Make memories!
It's important that all visitors recreate responsibly and be good stewards!
