Blue Ridge Parkway: January 12, 2026: Travelers and outdoor enthusiasts planning their 2026 mountain getaways can now mark their calendars. Reservations for the upcoming camping season on the Blue Ridge Parkway officially became available on January 10, 2026.
While many favorites are preparing for a robust season, visitors should take note of significant closures affecting two popular sites.

The majority of the parkway's campgrounds are scheduled to be open from Friday, May 22, 2026, through Sunday, October 25, 2026. This includes:

Peaks of Otter Campground
Rocky Knob Campground
Doughton Park Campground
Loop A of Julian Price Park Campground
Mount Pisgah Campground
Notice of Closures
Both Crabtree Falls Campground and Linville Falls Campground are expected to remain closed for the duration of the 2026 camping season.
