Asheville Events -- October 18, 2026: An afternoon of plant-based comfort food, seasonal treats and local shopping is coming to downtown Asheville when Asheville Veganfest Fall returns to Pack Square Park on Sunday, Oct. 25.
The festival runs from noon to 5 p.m., rain or shine, and welcomes everyone — from longtime vegans to curious foodies and families looking for a fall outing.
Organized by VegFest Expos, the event will feature more than 50 vendors, according to organizers. Food trucks and pop-ups will offer plant-based street food, artisanal baked goods and seasonal specialties, while independent makers will sell handcrafted goods, apparel, body care products and specialty home items.
A live DJ will provide the afternoon’s soundtrack, and children can enjoy free professional face painting.
“You don’t have to be vegan to have an incredible afternoon here,” said Helene Greenberg, executive director of VegFest Expos. “This is about gathering our community in the heart of downtown Asheville, enjoying exceptional food together, and supporting independent small businesses who pour their hearts into what they make.”
Beyond introducing visitors to plant-based dishes, the festival provides a marketplace for independent food businesses, bakers, designers and craftspeople from across the region.
Admission is open to the public, with a suggested $10 donation to support nonprofit community programming. Organizers also advertise raffle entries at one per $5 donation or 10 entries for $25, along with VIP goodie bags filled with plant-based products.
