Asheville Police Department Press Release June 12, 2026: Asheville Police Department investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying an armed robber who held up a convenience store early Thursday morning.
Officers responded to the 600 block of Hendersonville Road around 7:54 a.m. on June 11th to investigate an armed robbery. Upon arrival, an employee told officers that a man wearing a mask and a hoodie had entered the store and made a small purchase. The man returned, approached the counter, and, at gunpoint, demanded that the clerk give him money. The man left with $407 in cash in a white 4-door Infiniti sedan with tinted windows, traveling southbound on Hendersonville Road.
The suspect is described as a black male in his early 40’s, wearing a black and white flannel shirt, mask, hat, and blue jeans.
