Around 8:41 on August 24, officers were called to the Pisgah View Apartment complex in response to a loud noise complaint. Another officer was waiting at the back door when Jonathan Lee Suttles, the apartment's occupant, tried to escape while they were trying to reach him. Suttles was discovered to have a trafficking quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl while being arrested.
Suttles was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $100,000 (or $10,000 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by a magistrate.
