Timothy Hefner faces 26 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty in connection with the incident.
Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Animal Enforcement officers responded to a welfare check for animals on Monday, July 20. During their investigation, officers discovered 26 dogs being kept in what authorities described as inhumane conditions on the property. No additional information will be released at this time,
Based on these findings, Hefner was charged with one count of misdemeanor animal cruelty for each dog, totaling 26 counts. He was subsequently booked into the Henderson County Detention Center.
