2026 WNC Career Expo
Thursday, April 16th from 11 AM – 4 PM at the WNC Ag Center – Davis Event Center

This free, community event connects job seekers at every career stage with over 100 local employers. Open to ALL job seekers – whether you are actively job searching, exploring new opportunities or seeking additional support to take your next step.

Attend this one-stop opportunity to meet directly with representatives from companies hiring now. Free parking and free supportive services available on site. (more details below)

Presented by the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Mountain Area Workforce Development Board, WNCHRA and Reentry Council of Buncombe County

Western North Carolina employers are ready to hire talented applicants like you. You’ll be able to make connections and even interview on the spot with employers in high-demand industries at the WNC Career Expo.

WNC Career Expo: Career Resource Hubs
Offered in partnership with the Western North Carolina Human Resources Association (WNCHRA) and NCWorks Career Centers

Access Career Resource Hubs located throughout the expo floor. These hubs will offer resume reviews, interview preparation, career readiness guidance and job-search support, led by workforce professionals and community partners.

The Re-Entry & Community Resource Hub, hosted by the Re-Entry Council, will connect job seekers to re-entry services and community-based workforce resources.

 Career Support Services:

  • AB-Tech – Support Services @NC Works Career Lab (Available Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM)

  • NC Works – General offerings

  • Employers and job seekers are encouraged to connect with their local NCWorks Career Center to learn more about educational and training opportunities as well as career opportunities available in Western North Carolina. NCWorks Career Centers: Buncombe County  • Henderson CountyMadison County •  Transylvania County

  • Employer Registration

    Employer Registration for the WNC Career Expo

    • Booth fee: $350; Electricity: $50

    • Free lunch for vendors

    • Tables and chairs provided

    • Schedule:

      • 7:30 am – Load In

      • 9-11 am – Event open to area high school students & educators WNC Career Expo has partnered with regional school systems to provide high school students with opportunities to explore career paths and employment options during a closed registration-only time period during the Expo.

      • 11 am-4 pm – Event open to public

      • 4:30 p.m. – Load out
