Asheville -- April 17, 2026: Asheville's beloved outdoor concert tradition returns to Pack Square Park today, April 17, 2026, officially launching the Downtown After 5 season. This year’s series, presented by the Asheville Downtown Association, leans into a "multicultural" theme, spotlighting a diverse range of genres and community partnerships.
The season opener, designated as Stomp & Holler Night, features headliner Sam Burchfield, known for his soul-infused folk and mountain sounds. Joining him are the Hillclimbers and Friends to round out the evening’s high-energy bluegrass and americana vibes.
True to the event's mission of giving back, tonight’s nonprofit partner is RemixIT Asheville, an organization dedicated to making technology and music production accessible to local youth.

Each event takes place on the third Friday of the month from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pack Square Park. Admission is free, though attendees wishing to purchase alcohol must buy a $2 wristband, with proceeds benefiting the night’s nonprofit partner.
